The day we went to Underwater World

We went to Under Water World in October.  It seems like it was awhile ago and you probably already saw these pictures. I had such a great time I wanted to share it with you again.  These are my favorite pictures. These shark teeth were huge. We got to stand in the middle of the jaw and it was still taller then us.

I asked Mom to take a picture of this turtle because I really liked it.  They had several painted turtles on the wall with different pictures on them. I liked this one the best because it has a tiger on it.

This is a vampire fish.  It had fangs like a vampire or a bat. It was bright blue and swam around fast.

This is me when we were walking in a cave opening. They had snapping turtles, fish and coconut crabs.

I thought these three little, err well I mean big turtles were so cute. These were inside of the cave.
This is one of the big sharks that kept swimming over our heads.

These are three sharks I liked. I thought I would share them with you.  It looked like they were sleeping because they were all tucked back into a small opening of a sunken ship.
Here is one of the coconut crabs.  They are so strong they can break open a coconut with their claws!
Here is my sister showing us that this fish is almost as big as her arm span. This picture makes me laugh because my sister is so funny.  The fish almost blended in with the rocks but it was so big we spotted it right away.
This is a cool looking squid. I like the picture Mom took of it. It is my favorite color.

Here Mom was getting me to touch this Star Cushion. It is kinda like a Star Fish but it is big and fluffy like a pillow. I was a little nervous at first but I figured if Mom could touch it then I could. Mom wouldn't have me or let me touch something that might hurt me. I had so much fun at this place. We learned a lot and got to see so many cool creatures. The fish were big and small, we even got to see a huge Manta ray and some huge sharks.  I hope we can go back some day. Love S

Merizo Pier clean up

On Saturday, we all went to Merizo Pier to help clean up the water. There were scuba divers to go down and get trash from the bottom of the ocean. My brother, Sister and I snorkeled to the divers to get the bags of trash from them. Then we snorkeled to shore where people on the ground were waiting to get the bags from us and sort them out. Some of the trash had sea creatures living on them or in them. So the people had to put the sea creatures back in the ocean. Hopefully they found rocks to live on this time instead of trash. Mom said that someone found an octopus in one of the trash bags. I wish I had been on the shore so I could of seen it before it got put back in the ocean.

Here is one of the trucks that got filled up with tires. There were tons of tires all along the pier. There was this one gianormous tire my Dad and I pulled from the bottom of the sea. It was so huge we had to have three lift bags to help us get it to shore. I can't believe how big it was. There were so many tires down there. I wish people didn't put their trash in the water like this. It was sad.

My Dad let me use his giant sausage. I liked to float around on it. It is not the kind of sausage you eat.

It sure was fun to help out with my brother and sister. Afterwards we all got to snorkel around a little bit. The water was so clear. We saw more tires and lots of sea urchins. We saw fish that were caught up in this big net. I asked if we could cut the net to set the fish free but Dad thought that there must be a reason for the net to be there. I had a lot of fun! It was a great time, I hope we get to do more clean-ups

A fun way to fold shirts!

Today, Mom showed us a video about how to fold shirts an easy way.  We really wanted to try it ourselves. It took a couple of times to get it right but when we did we were so excited.  Now we want to fold shirts every day.  I hope you enjoy my very first blog post!
Love,
K
